In March of 1993, the Grateful Dead rolled into Chapel Hill for a two-night sold out run at the Dean Smith Center at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A Spring run where Jerry looked newly energized and locked back in, these UNC shows captured the band in a warm, energized groove. Across two nights came staples and deep cuts like China Cat, Terrapin, a legendary’ Morning Dew, and a crowd-wide “Not Fade Away” that turned the arena into something closer to a shared ritual than a concert.
