Although the Dead never played in Athens, don't tell me this town ain't go no heart
Georgia x Grateful Dead
The Grateful Dead’s influence at the University of Georgia is significant. Athens is a "music town" and the Dead's ethos of improvisation and community connected with the university's vibrant music scene, which was already burgeoning with acts like R.E.M. and The B-52's. The Dead’s presence in Athens not only resonated with the countercultural movements of the time but also aligned with the city’s rich musical heritage. Their concerts brought together students, local Deadheads, and musicians, creating a unique fusion of school pride and countercultural energy. Although the Dead never played at UGA, they played down the road in Atlanta a total of 37 times. Much like the free-spirited nature of Athens’ music scene, the Grateful Dead fostered a sense of exploration and creativity, leaving a lasting impact on the university’s cultural life.

Welcome to Class Trip — We're Just Getting Started
Some things stay with you. The show. The campus. The Saturday. The sweatshirt you keep reaching for years later. Class Trip is built around those moments, collegiate pieces rooted in tradition, music, teams, and the places that leave a mark.
We pair heritage-inspired graphics with premium blanks, considered details, and a lived-in feel that only gets better with time. The result is familiar without feeling dated: a modern take on classic American campus style, made to earn a permanent place in your rotation.
The Collegiate Dead collection is just the beginning. Our core line is dropping soon, bringing elevated everyday staples and original Class Trip designs into the mix.
Thanks for taking the trip.
