University of Tennessee - Grateful Dead

Officially licensed by University of Tennessee and the Grateful Dead- available exclusively through Class Trip. Though the Grateful Dead never performed at the University of Tennessee, Jerry's commitment to bluegrass and Southern musical traditions significantly influenced the Dead’s sound, particularly their blend of country rock and psychedelic improvisation. This fusion made the band a natural fit for Tennessee’s rich musical heritage, where bluegrass, country, and folk were deeply embedded in the local culture.
