Many folks don't know that on May 17, 1977, the Grateful Dead played an iconic show at the University of Alabama’s Memorial Coliseum, uniting the music of the Dead and Crimson pride in Tuscaloosa. The concert, part of the band’s famous 1977 tour, featured fan favorites like "Scarlet Begonias" and "Terrapin Station," drawing Bama students and Deadheads from across the Southeast.
