On May 17, 1977, the Grateful Dead brought the spring ’77 tour through Tuscaloosa for a night at Memorial Coliseum that still feels woven into Alabama lore. Roll Tide country met one of the most locked-in stretches the band ever played, a room full of students, energy in the air, and songs stretching deep into the night. “Scarlet > Fire,” “Terrapin Station,” “Estimated Prophet,” all delivered with that effortless ’77 flow that made every stop on the tour feel like its own world.
There’s something fitting about the Dead in Alabama. Big traditions, louder Saturdays, stories that only grow over time. This collection pulls from that intersection of classic worn-in graphics, and pieces built to feel like they’ve lived a few seasons already. Equal parts Southern football Saturdays and a few long strange trips. Roll Tide.
This one is worth the wait. Hats start shipping around June 1st.
