Maryland x Grateful Dead Steal Your Face Tee
Officially licensed by Grateful Dead and the University of Maryland. Available exclusively through Class Trip.
The Grateful Dead performed at the University of Maryland's Cole Field House on March 7, 1981. This event coincided with the university's basketball team playing an away game versus UNC, leading to the venue being temporarily dubbed "Terrapin Station" in the band's honor. This event is commemorated in UMD's concert history, reflecting the band's cultural impact on the campus community. Additionally, the band's ethos of community and creativity aligns with UMD's initiatives, such as the Do Good Institute, which fosters social innovation and community engagement among students. While they only played on campus once in 1981, the Dead played dozens of shows right down the road in Landover, Columbia, and Baltimore.
