The Dead played an epic show at West Virginia University on April 10, 1983, at the WVU Coliseum. The show was highly anticipated, drawing Deadheads from across the region. Fans camped overnight for tickets, and the concert featured a lively setlist, including "Me and My Uncle" and "Sugar Magnolia." The performance opened with “Samson and Delilah,” humorously referencing concerns about the Coliseum's structural integrity. The concert remains a cultural milestone at WVU, reflecting the band's deep connection with college audiences in the 1980s.
